Opera: Construction cantilever bridge

Luogo: Czech Republic

Caratteristiche di Progetto:

The realisation of the bridge over the lake Koberny, section of the highway D3 Tábor - Veseli nad. Lužnicí in the Czech Republic, has requested equipments for the construction of the pier top segments and the bridge superstructure itself. The work has two lanes, a total length of 560m and a maximum height of approx. 18m.

For the realisation of the starting segments on the 5+5 piers, Alpi provided MECCANO 120 equipment with length 16.5m, consisting of single MECCANO modules which were supported at height of 12m by special towers, property of the construction company.

The bridge superstructure was built with cantilever carts HEA 240 using mainly standard components of product ranges HEA 240 and MECCANO.

Therefore Alpi provided 2 complete equipments to enable simultaneous works starting from two different piers: 2 cantilever carts for each pier, a total of 4 complete carts. The carts included a length of 12m each, which, positioned on the superstructure, performed segments of 5m. In the design phase the conclusion of the span was expected in 9+9 shuttering stages plus one final phase of closure.

Due to the high percentage of standard material, the equipment could be rented for the period of 17 and 24 months by the customer with all the economic benefits. The conception designed by the technical office, calculated on the full efficiency for the jobsite, provided the conclusion of the work in 24 months.

The contractor Metrostav, during the works and according to the teams available on site, handled promptly production cycles maintaining a high rate.

The well-practised collaboration between Alpi and Ulma CZ has allowed, through a constant presence in all phases, an excellent technical support and a complete service to the customer.
