Multifunctional Centre, Bolzano
A great building, in record time.
Works: New Headquarters of the Manus Consortium.
Location: Bolzano.
Project features: the 6 storey building was constructed on a surface area of 6,000 m² in Bolzano and hosts 35 local craft workshops. There is a variable height between the floors, from a minimum of 3 m to a maximum of more than 4 m. There is also an central area covering the ground floor, with a height of more than 7.5 m. The entire complex involved the execution of approx. 30,000 m² of solid reinforced concrete slab. Having evaluated the construction requirements of the designers and the need to finish the works in a short time, ALPI suggested the use of the ALPIDECK system for all the slabs, except the one of 7.5 m, where, due to the great height, a modular ORTHOPLUS system was supplied with primary and secondary beam grids with wooden beams from the ALPIFLEX system and 3-ply panels. Lightweight, easy to handle and quick to mount, the advantages of the ALPIDECK system were shown to be decisive for the success of the project, which was completed in just 7 months, with a formidable average of 4,500 m² of slab being built a month.
